The collision of luxury and lifestyle is fracturing the contemporary travel industry, transforming travel brands into lifestyle brands with a distaste for the conventional. THE REBELS recognise those creative dissenters whose fight for their individual cause finds them at the forefront of this new, limited edition take on travel.

The shortlist will be compiled by a creative cartel of cross-industry artists whose own experience in deviating from the norm has won them a place on our judging panel. Then the LE collective will have their say when voting takes place over the duration of the show (8 - 11 June), before the winning rebels are recognised on 11 June at the Official Awards and Closing Party, brought to you by Travel+Leisure and hosted by The Miami Beach EDITION.
An inventive concept, launch or event that shatters the status quo and reframes the way we see travel. We’re looking for the shock of the new – whether it’s a groundbreaking hotel opening, novel way of experiencing a destination or an entirely new take on high-end travel.
MOST ORIGINAL CAMPAIGN
Marvellous marketing that offers a new way to connect with travellers and takes a brand to the next level, from online content destinations to clever social media campaigns or an innovative series of events.
MOST CREATIVE COLLABORATION
A one-off or continuing partnership between a travel brand and the wider creative community that demonstrates the collision of luxury and lifestyle. In-house artists, bespoke uniforms, high-impact films or mini music festivals: we’re seeking the unexpected.
BEST INTERACTION WITH NEIGHBOURHOOD
Insightful integration with the local cultural landscape with the power to transform, elevate or highlight the profile of a neighbourhood, whether through an unconventional launch location, work with local creatives or inclusive events involving the community.
