MINISTRY OF IDEAS
LE’s Ministry of Ideas was born out of rebellion – rather than talking about the trends in travel (just like every other industry conference), we want to inspire them.
We’re rebelling against the traditional conference model to bring you the travel industry’s first ‘un-conference’, whereby YOU both create the content and choose who you want to listen to.
In today’s shared economy, companies like Uber and Airbnb are flipping the model upside down. The control is being given to the user to self-curate and self-facilitate their own experience. So when it comes to conferences, why should the organiser control the topic? The speakers? The conversation? Shouldn’t the role of the organiser be to curate the right minds to be in the same place at the same time, and then facilitate a platform allowing for accidental conversation between each other?
Big Ideas are generated directly from the collective. For 2016, we asked you to tell us your Big Idea that could change the future of travel via the LE website, before sifting through all your inspired, informed and downright provocative ideas to find the twelve most relevant to our collective (below). Keep listening for details of when 2017 submissions open…
Shared Ideas come from travel and creative industry influencers sharing their expertise and insight on a range of unconventional topics. In 2016, we enjoyed Shared Ideas from the following rebels.
