We’re already big fans of The Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas for bringing a little Miami glam and rebellious ‘tude to the Strip, notably with the cabaret lounge vibes at supper club Rose. Rabbit. Lie. Consequently, the news that hit show Absinthe will be moving into the basement has us reaching for our best sequins.

Absinthe was first performed in a spiegeltent at the South Street Seaport in NYC back in 2006, before opening in Vegas in 2011. Five years and over a million visitors later, the show will be moving into a new home at Rose. Rabbit. Lie. under the watchful eye of producer The Gazillionaire (we know, we wish we’d claimed that nickname first too).

Described by The New York Times as “Cirque du Soleil as channelled through Rocky Horror Picture Show and painted by George Grosz”, Absinthe’s blend of acrobatic escapades and outlandish comedy is the perfect bedfellow for Rose. Rabbit. Lie., where previous acts include aerialists, cabaret artists and musicians galore. Check out the showreel below and consider slotting it in somewhere between casinos. Absinthe plays its final performance at its current location on October 21 and will move to The Cosmopolitan in late 2016.
