DESIGNER SARAH LAVOINE BRANCHES OUT TO HOTELS WITH LE ROCH PARIS
June may be the month that classic grande dame Hotel Ritz Paris will finally return (after years of renovation and the setback from a fire at the beginning of the year), but right around the same time, a hop and a skip from Place Vendome, a small contemporary hotel will also open its doors in the 1st arrondissement: Le Roch Hotel & Spa.
Inside will be just 37 rooms from the hand of designer Sarah Lavoine in her chosen ‘palette of sage, chartreuse, and milky green’. This is what that looks like.
Beyond the accents of chartreuse in the room above, the colour shows up in others as a bold backlit frame surrounding the head of the bed. Rooms are wired for AirPlay technology (allowing wireless streaming of content between devices) and come with free WiFi and tablets. Most are fairly compact (20-31m2), four are a smidge larger and have a private hammam, while the top suite is 47m2 and combines the hammam with a private terrace.
The spa will have an indoor pool, while the restaurant will be overseen by Arnaud Faye. The ground floor opens up to an indoor garden and terrace.
Reservations are currently open from June 30, with a Cosy Room starting just under the €500 (£390 / $560) mark.
