With just 4 days to go until it’s time to dig out your annual Halloween costume of sexy vampire/pumpkin/burrito [delete as applicable], the witches and wizards at Andaz Liverpool Street have brewed up a devilish evening of adult entertainment to mark All Hallows’ Eve.

From the haunted Room 333 at The Langham, London to the punk rock ghosts of New York’s notorious Chelsea Hotel, there are plenty of hotels with a good ghost story or two to tell – so this Sunday 30th October, Andaz will be putting on their own hotel horror show with ‘Masonic Murders’, a 90-minute immersive theatre experience exploring a series of real-life murders that happened in hotels around the world. The performance will feature (in)famous murderers including East End legend Jack The Ripper and H. H. Holmes, one of the first documented serial killers who opened a hotel with dark intentions in the 19th century.

The spooky shenanigans will take place in the century-old Greek Masonic temple, rarely open to the public. Having recently binged on the entire series of American Horror Story: Hotel, our imagination is already running wild among the chequered floors, marble columns and gold-encrusted zodiac ceiling.

Those brave enough to enter the temple can buy performance-only tickets for £20, or add on dinner at the hotel’s East Brasserie for £45. A full overnight stay is available for £295.

Andaz is just one hotel showcasing its spooktastic skills for Halloween, with nearby Mondrian London turning its rooftop into a big top with the arrival of Twisted Circus in the bar – meanwhile, to truly up the stakes (geddit?) thrillseekers can spend the night in Dracula’s Castle over on Airbnb.
