We’ve invited visionaries, experts and innovators at the top of their fields to join us poolside at EAST, Miami for a series of illuminating talks and conversations on the most relevant topics facing contemporary travel. More speakers will be announced as we get closer to June, but here are the first few stepping up to the stage…


ANDRES SOSA
Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Creative,
THEOUTNET.COM, part of YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP

Andres Sosa joined THE OUTNET.COM as Director of Global Sales & Marketing in 2013 and was appointed EVP, Sales, Marketing & Creative in November 2015. He is responsible for the global sales, marketing, creative and e-commerce teams, optimising brand awareness for THE OUTNET while driving customer acquisition and retention, public relations and channel innovation. He also provides guidance on site content, campaigns and cross-channel initiatives, ensuring THE OUTNET’s editorial approach is maximised across all touch points. Since joining THE OUTNET, he has launched an invite-only VIP program, an award-winning campaign during the crowded London Fashion Week space, and new product categories and collaborations in response to consumer insights. Prior to joining THE OUTNET, Andres was Head of Digital Marketing and Media at Value Retail, responsible for global digital strategy. He has also led teams at global agencies WPP and Publicis Groupe.

ANGIE MAR
Founder, The Beatrice Inn

Angie Mar’s aunt was the infamous Ruby Chow, who pioneered Chinese cuisine in Seattle, giving Angie an innate love for bringing people together around a dining table. She has had the privilege of spending time in some of New York City’s renowned kitchens, including honing her skills at whole animal butchery and open fire techniques at Andrew Tarlow’s lauded Brooklyn restaurants Reynard, Diner, and Marlow & Sons. Angie went on to work for April Bloomfield at The Spotted Pig and in October 2013, took the helm of storied West Village restaurant The Beatrice Inn. Best known for her love of working with whole animals, live fire and dry aging techniques, her signature 45-day dry aged burger is widely regarded as one of the best in the city. Under Angie’s guidance and vision, The Beatrice has become one of the most coveted reservations in the city, known for its meat-forward menu and showstopping presentation. She is now the owner and executive chef at The Beatrice Inn, re-opening the restaurant in September 2016 under her leadership.

SERENA GUEN
Founder & CEO, SUITCASE Magazine

Named the “Mark Zuckerberg of publishing” by Bloomberg and the BBC, multi-national Serena founded the award-winning SUITCASE Magazine remotely while in her third year at NYU. She is often called upon for her expertise in travel and recently launched the media agency branch of SUITCASE. Her accolades include being named as Forbes 30 under 30 in 2017, 25 under 25 most influential Londoners by the Evening Standard, winning a Woman of the Future Award for media and being shortlisted for the UK’s Young Travel Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016.


ASHLYN CHESNEY
Director, Mr. Porter Style Council

Ashlyn Chesney oversees the Style Council business at MR PORTER, looking after its existing Members and fostering new relationships in order to develop an engaged group of tastemakers that are part of the MR PORTER family. She looks after an in-house team, Style Council’s integration into MR PORTER’s various content channels and global events strategy. Ashlyn began her career in New York, working in the fashion industry for a boutique events company, which specialised in producing runway and trade shows. She later freelanced as a production coordinator, where she managed fashion shows and photoshoots for high profile brands such as Victoria Beckham, Diesel, Target, and Moncler. In 2012, she joined André Balazs Properties where she worked closely alongside Balazs and was part of the team that helped to launch the company’s first international property, Chiltern Firehouse.

MICK BATYSKE
Founder, MICK

MICK is a DJ, style influencer, tech investor, music curator and brand consultant who has spun private events for some of the world’s most prominent celebrities, brands, tech companies and philanthropic organisations, including Beyonce, Bravo, Cadillac, Entertainment Weekly, Fast Company, Hillary Clinton, HBO, Instagram, Interview Magazine, Jay Z, Jimmy Kimmel and Michelle Obama. His clients include Twitter, NYU, Fashion Institute of Technology, Mekanism and Blender Workspace. As a digital and social entrepreneur, MICK invests and consults with a wide array of start-ups. He is a co-owner of Dot Dot Dash– a new media studio inventing cutting edge interactive environments, Localeur – a travel recommendation platform recognized as one of the best new apps of 2015 by Time Magazine, and Anchor – a new kind of radio where anyone can join the conversation. MICK also is a partner of CoCreate – a monthly brunch bringing together influencers in the art, media and tech worlds.

Steve Dool is a freelance journalist and fashion consultant based in New York City. With a focus on trends and personalities in the men’s fashion space, Steve is a contributor to T: The New York Times Style Magazine, CNN, GQ, Fashionista, Esquire, Style.com, Details, Yahoo! and more, and was previously the Deputy Style Editor at Complex. Steve has a decade of experience as a branding and marketing consultant and has worked with companies like Converse, Tretorn, Fred Perry, PBS, Anheuser-Busch, Heineken, Microsoft, and the Capsule trade fair in New York, Paris, and Las Vegas.

CARLOS JOÃO PARREIRA

Carlos João founded home decor brand LUSITANO1143 as a window into the contemporary craft and creativity of Portugal. Through a hand-chosen community of independent artisans, LUSITANO1143 presents a collection of modern home accessories to a new audience that perhaps better knows Portugal for its history, surf and sunshine. A Portuguese expat now living in Brooklyn, Carlos began his career in contemporary art galleries and hasn’t left the NY design world since. From home decor retail to luxury digital businesses, he’s bridged his passion for design, technology and business throughout.

CELINE SEMAAN
Founder, Slow Factory

Céline Semaan Vernon is a Lebanese-Canadian designer, activist, teacher, and entrepreneur. Two common themes underpin her diverse work: the power of remixing, collage, and juxtaposition in creating new aesthetics and narratives; and the need to humanize and embed our current world with a deep sense of empathy. Vernon founded Slow Factory out of her design consultancy, and the fashion firm has grown to be world-renowned for high-quality silks printed with satellite images from NASA. This physical juxtaposition of old-world luxury with new technology and space exploration delivers a message of meaning and activism, where each collection tells a greater story about human rights and environmental awareness, in partnership with non-governmental organizations.

Rich Goodstone oversees Superfly’s agency services. As head of the agency offering, Rich is responsible for driving development of award winning strategic and creative lifestyle marketing solutions for a variety of leading brands, leveraging Superfly’s unparalleled expertise driving youth minded culture. He also develops and oversees revenue sources for Superfly’s landmark festivals with a focus on creating innovative partnerships and multi-channel brand extensions.

ANA ANDJELIC
SVP, Global Strategy Director, Havas LuxHub

Ana Andjelic is a strategist, writer and doctor of sociology. She is obsessed with how technology changes the relationship between people and brands. Ana’s job is to help luxury, fashion and lifestyle companies transform into modern businesses. Her approach is best described as design thinking meets modern marketing meets technology, and she uses it in everything from advising MIT Media Lab students on how to launch their ideas into the real world to figuring out top luxury brands’ strategy to observing the counterfeit scene on Canal Street. Ana works with global brands across the US, Europe and Asia and often speaks at the international conferences. Her achievements include Luxury Women to Watch 2016, The Guardian’s Top Ten​ Digital Strategists to Watch, as well as critical business and brand impact for clients.
